Hi, I’m
Anni Marttinen
Finland’s first ecosocial economist with 10 years of experience in banking and economic policy. I am a Doctoral researcher researching wellbeing and post-growth economy using system dynamics-model, an entrepreneur, a writer (book out in 2024), Founder of Rethinking Econonomics Finland, speaker, lecturer, podcast host, video columnist, consultant, coach, and social media wizard based in Helsinki, Finland.
Who Am I
I am Finland’s first ecosocial economist. I use my voice to teach and popularise economic, social, and ecological policy and megatrends, wellbeing systems, and phenomena to everyone who is interested. I make it fun and easy to understand - be it a training session for your team, a reel on Instagram or TikTok video, or a keynote speech at your event!
I am a requested speaker and consultant for NPO’s and businesses.
I have an immense need to use my skills in making the planet a better, more ecological and more just place for everyone to live on.

Cotton Candy Economics
In cotton candy economy, we bust myths about economics and society told under the pretext of capitalism. Together we unlearn toxic ”truths” and utopianize a better socially and ecologically sustainable system together. It’s about time to put Gaia first.
Cotton candy economics is for everyone who feels excluded of the economic dialogue. Anyone who thinks economics is not for them, or that economics is too difficult or patriarchal.
I see that economic schooling is a democratic act - excluding people from economic dialogue is elitist and a power move. It’s about time we make economics inclusive and accesable.
